Welcome to the
Office
of
Peter Jorgenson
Thank you for stopping by.
I love business. More specifically, I love helping people and organizations reach their full potential. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve led Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Finance teams, led major organizational changes, and partnered with companies of every size, from Fortune 50 to small family businesses. Through all of it, I discovered that my greatest joy comes from leading people, developing talent, solving complex problems, and helping others accomplish meaningful work.
I am based in Carmel, Indiana, and much of my work and leadership experience comes from partnering with organizations across Indiana, including RNDC and many other companies.
Today, my primary focus is acquiring and operating a long-term portfolio of companies under The Jorgenson Companies. Much of my time is spent researching potential acquisitions, meeting with business owners, learning about their operations, and understanding their succession goals. My philosophy is simple: acquire great businesses, honor what makes them special, support the people who built them, and own them for the long term.
I believe strongly in shared ownership. Over time, each business we acquire will offer meaningful ownership pathways for team members. I want employees to participate in the value they create. We build these companies together and we succeed together.
Alongside my work with The Jorgenson Companies, I spend part of my time advising executives, founders, and boards across a wide range of industries. I currently advise several organizations, both large and small, established and startup. I enjoy helping leaders realize their vision, operate more effectively, and make better long-term decisions. Advisory work energizes me, and I am always open to the right opportunities where I can add meaningful value.
If we’ve worked together before, thank you. I’m grateful for the partnership. If you’re a business owner considering a transition, I’d love to connect and learn about your goals, whether or not we end up being the right fit.
If you believe I might be able to contribute to your mission in some way, whether through collaboration, advisory work, or something else, please feel free to reach out. I enjoy meeting great people and exploring ways to create value together.
I hope we talk soon.

ABOUT PETER'S LIFE
I’ve been married to my wife, Amy, for over twenty years, and we’re the proud parents of three wonderful kids. They are the center of my life and my greatest source of joy.
I grew up in the Twin Cities suburbs of Minnesota, always outdoors and always moving… hockey, golf, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, or anything active with friends. I still love all of those things today, especially when I’m doing them with my kids.
After living in several places around the country, our family eventually settled in the Indianapolis area, where we’ve been for more than a decade. We love this community. As a family, we enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing the world’s food, nature, culture, and history together.
I’ve coached youth sports in Carmel for many years, which has been incredibly fulfilling. Helping kids build confidence, try new things, learn continuous improvement, and simply enjoy the process has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life.
My passion for business began early. As a kid, I ran baseball card tables at trade shows and fell in love with buying, selling, negotiating, and finding hidden value. In middle school, I shifted to studying bigger ideas from business magazines, investing, leadership books, technology, systems, and the ways information can change the world. That curiosity has stayed with me ever since.
I’ve always been a business geek and still am. To this day, starting my morning feels like putting on a jersey and stepping onto the ice. I love what I do.
Conservation, Community, and the Indianapolis Zoo
My connection to nature began early, growing up outdoors in Minnesota and spending time at the Minnesota Zoo. Conservation, sustainability, and helping people connect with the natural world have been passions of mine ever since.
I’ve been fortunate to serve on the Indianapolis Zoo Board for many years. It has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I’ve learned a tremendous amount from the Zoo’s team, its leadership, and my fellow board members. Each deeply committed to protecting wildlife and inspiring others to care about our planet.
One of the highlights of my work with the Indianapolis Zoo was serving as Chair of Zoobilation, the Zoo’s signature fundraising gala. Each June, nearly 6,000 guests gather for an unforgettable evening that supports the zoo. In 2024 alone, the event raised more than $2.6 million, and during my years of involvement, Zoobilation has generated over $20 million to advance the Zoo’s mission.
I believe strongly in doing our part to make the world a better place for everything and everyone. My work with the Indianapolis Zoo is one way I try to live that belief.
